These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://gtvnewsurdu.com, our mobile applications and related websites, video services, newsletters, notifications and digital platforms (collectively, the “Platforms”).

The Platforms are operated by East Films (Pvt.) Ltd. under the GTV News HD and GTV News Urdu brands (“GTV News”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platforms, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platforms.

Eligibility

You may use the Platforms only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

If you are under the legal age of majority, you may use the Platforms only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Our Services

The Platforms may provide:

News reports and breaking-news updates;
Articles, analysis, opinion and blogs;
Live blogs and live updates;
Fact-checking content;
Photographs, graphics and videos;
Television programmes and programme episodes;
Embedded videos and third-party content;
Newsletters and browser notifications;
Comments, reports, feedback and submission facilities;
Search, archive and sharing features;
Advertising and sponsored material.

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any feature or service at any time.

News and Editorial Content

We make reasonable efforts to publish accurate and timely information. However, news develops continuously, and information available at the time of publication may later change, require clarification or be corrected.

We do not guarantee that every report, headline, photograph, video, statistic, translation or other item will always be complete, current or free from error.

Publication of an allegation, statement or claim does not necessarily mean that GTV News accepts it as established fact.

Opinion pieces, blogs, interviews and guest contributions represent the views of their respective authors or speakers and do not necessarily represent the official position of GTV News.

We may update, correct, clarify, remove or archive content where editorially appropriate.

No Professional Advice

Content published on the Platforms is provided for general news and informational purposes.

Nothing on the Platforms constitutes legal, medical, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice. You should obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional before making decisions based on such matters.

Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, you may:

Access and read publicly available content;
Share links through the sharing tools provided;
Quote limited portions of content with clear attribution and a link to the original page;
Use the Platforms for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes;
Print an article for personal reference.

Any other reproduction, republication, commercial use, redistribution or exploitation requires our prior written permission.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

Use the Platforms for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, database or administrative area;
Interfere with the operation, security or availability of the Platforms;
Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks or harmful material;
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
Submit false, defamatory, threatening, hateful, obscene or unlawful material;
Harass, threaten or invade the privacy of another person;
Collect personal information about users without authorization;
Bypass security, access-control, rate-limit or anti-bot measures;
Use bots, scrapers, crawlers or automated tools except ordinary search-engine indexing expressly permitted by us;
Systematically copy, download or republish our archives;
Use our content for text and data mining, machine-learning training or artificial-intelligence model training without written permission;
Remove copyright, trademark, attribution or rights-management information;
Manipulate video views, advertising impressions, clicks, votes or engagement statistics;
Frame, mirror or reproduce a substantial part of the Platforms without permission;
Use our name, logo or content in a way that falsely suggests endorsement or partnership.

We may restrict or block activity that violates these Terms or threatens the Platforms, our users or third parties.

Accounts and Access Security

Certain Platform features may require an authorized account.

You are responsible for:

Providing accurate account information;
Keeping your password and access credentials confidential;
Restricting access to your device;
Informing us promptly about unauthorized account use;
All activity conducted through your account unless prohibited by applicable law.

You must not share staff, contributor or administrative credentials with unauthorized persons.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that are compromised, inactive, unauthorized or used in violation of these Terms.

User Submissions

The Platforms may allow users to submit comments, messages, photographs, videos, documents, complaints, news tips, correction requests or other material (“User Submissions”).

You retain any ownership rights you legally hold in your User Submissions. By submitting material to us, you grant GTV News a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to receive, store, review, reproduce, edit, translate, adapt, publish, distribute, display, communicate and promote that material through our Platforms and associated media.

This licence is granted only to the extent reasonably necessary to review, use, publish, distribute or promote the submitted material.

You confirm that:

You own the submission or have the necessary rights and permissions;
The submission does not violate copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
The information you provide is not knowingly false or misleading;
Publication or use of the submission will not violate applicable law;
Any identifiable person shown in submitted material has provided any permission legally required.

We are not obliged to publish, retain or return any submission.

News Tips and Confidentiality

Material sent through ordinary contact forms, email addresses, comments or social-media accounts should not automatically be considered confidential.

If you are sharing sensitive information or requesting protection as a confidential source, clearly state this before providing the material and use a communication method approved by our editorial team.

Nothing in these Terms requires GTV News to publish a submitted story, identify a source publicly or accept an obligation of confidentiality unless specifically agreed by an authorized representative.

Comments and Community Standards

If comments or public submissions are enabled, users must remain respectful and comply with applicable law.

We may remove, moderate or restrict content that includes:

Hate speech or discriminatory abuse;
Threats, harassment or incitement to violence;
Defamation or knowingly false allegations;
Personal or confidential information;
Spam, advertisements or repetitive promotions;
Obscene, sexually explicit or exploitative material;
Copyright-infringing content;
Malware, suspicious links or fraudulent schemes;
Material unrelated to the relevant discussion.

Moderation does not mean that we endorse or verify user comments.

Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, all rights in the Platforms and their content belong to GTV News, East Films (Pvt.) Ltd., its licensors or the identified rights holder.

Protected material may include:

Articles and written reports;
Headlines and summaries;
Photographs and graphics;
Video and audio content;
Programme names and artwork;
Logos and trademarks;
Website design and layout;
Databases and archives;
Software, code and technical features.

No licence or ownership right is transferred to you except the limited permission expressly provided in these Terms.

“GTV News”, “GTV News HD”, “GTV News Urdu” and associated logos and branding may not be used without prior written authorization.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Platforms infringes your copyright, send a written notice containing:

Your full name and contact information;
Identification of the copyrighted work;
The exact URL of the allegedly infringing content;
An explanation of your ownership or authority to act;
A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is unauthorized;
Supporting documents where available;
Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete or misleading claims may delay our review.

Notices should be sent to info@gtvnetwork.tv with the subject line “Copyright Complaint”.

We may remove or restrict material while a complaint is reviewed, without admitting liability.

Corrections and Complaints

Requests for correction should identify:

The exact article or video URL;
The statement claimed to be inaccurate;
The proposed correction;
Supporting evidence or documentation;
Your relationship to the matter.

Editorial decisions, including whether and how to correct, update, clarify or remove material, remain subject to applicable law and our editorial judgment.

YouTube Services

The Platforms use YouTube embedded players and YouTube API Services to display public videos, channels, playlists and related information.

By using YouTube functionality through our Platforms, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Your use of YouTube-related features is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

YouTube and Google may collect information when you view or interact with embedded videos. Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

We do not own YouTube or control the availability of YouTube videos. A video may be restricted, removed, made private or unavailable by YouTube or its owner without notice.

You must not manipulate YouTube views, likes, subscriptions, advertising impressions or other engagement measurements through the Platforms.

Third-Party Content and Links

The Platforms may contain advertisements, links, embeds or material provided by third parties, including social-media platforms, video services and external websites.

We do not control and are not responsible for:

Third-party content or availability;
External website security;
Products or services advertised by third parties;
Transactions between users and advertisers;
Third-party privacy or data practices;
Statements made by independent contributors or linked sources.

A link, advertisement or embed does not necessarily constitute endorsement by GTV News.

You access third-party services at your own discretion and subject to their terms.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

The Platforms may contain advertising, branded content, sponsored material or commercial links.

Where reasonably required, sponsored or paid material will be identified. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their advertisements and offers.

GTV News is not a party to transactions between users and third-party advertisers unless expressly stated otherwise.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using the Platforms, you acknowledge that internet services may process technical information such as IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers and usage data.

Availability and Technical Operation

We aim to keep the Platforms available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Access may be delayed, suspended or interrupted because of:

Maintenance or technical faults;
Hosting, network or power failures;
Cyberattacks or security incidents;
Third-party service interruptions;
Government, regulatory or court action;
Events beyond our reasonable control.

We may change technical requirements, URLs, layouts or features without prior notice.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Platforms and their content are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

We do not make an absolute warranty that:

All content will always be accurate, complete or current;
The Platforms will always be available or error-free;
Every external link will remain active or safe;
Downloaded material will be free from harmful components;
Use of the Platforms will meet every user’s requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GTV News, East Films (Pvt.) Ltd., their directors, officers, employees, journalists, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss arising from:

Use of or inability to use the Platforms;
Reliance on Platform content;
Loss of data, revenue, opportunity or reputation;
Third-party content, advertisements or services;
Unauthorized access, malware or security incidents;
Changes to or discontinuation of a Platform feature.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from fraud or other liability that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless GTV News and East Films (Pvt.) Ltd. from claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from:

Your unlawful use of the Platforms;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your User Submission;
Your infringement of another person’s rights;
Fraudulent or malicious activity conducted by you.

This provision does not apply where liability results solely from our own unlawful conduct.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe that:

These Terms have been violated;
Access creates a security or legal risk;
An account has been compromised;
Activity is abusive, fraudulent or harmful;
Suspension is required by law or a competent authority.

You may stop using the Platforms at any time.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, indemnification, disputes and other terms intended to survive will remain effective after termination.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any mandatory legal rights or jurisdiction requirements, disputes relating to these Terms or the Platforms will be submitted to the competent courts located in Karachi, Pakistan.

Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through written communication.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, technology, editorial practices, legal requirements or business operations.

The revised effective date will be displayed at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through a notice on the Platforms.

Continued use of the Platforms after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms, subject to applicable law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

An invalid provision will be interpreted or adjusted only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.

No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a corporate restructuring, merger, acquisition, financing or transfer of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms displayed for a particular feature, constitute the agreement between you and GTV News concerning use of the Platforms.
